Weekend trips from Delhi:
what to know

When to go

March to June is the classic escape from Delhi’s heat to Himachal and Uttarakhand. October and November bring clear skies and fewer crowds. December to February means snow in places like Manali and Chopta.

July and August are monsoon months in the hills, with a higher risk of landslides and road closures, so fewer trips run.

How the weekend works

Most weekend trips leave Delhi on Friday night by overnight bus or tempo traveller and get back early on Monday morning, so you only lose one night’s sleep, not a day of leave.

Longer places like Spiti need a week. Look at the long weekends first and add a day or two of leave.

What it costs

Price depends on distance, transport, stay and meals. Closer places like Rishikesh usually cost less than a Himachal trip, and Spiti costs the most.

On Flotr the price you see is the price you pay, nothing is added at checkout, and you can hold your seat from ₹99 (each agency sets the amount).

Questions from Delhi

What are the best weekend trips from Delhi?

Rishikesh is the quickest at about 6 hours. Kasol, Chopta, Nag Tibba and Mussoorie work well for a Friday-night-to-Monday trip. Manali and Jibhi fit a long weekend, and Spiti needs about a week.

How do group trips from Delhi work?

Pick a departure, hold your seat or pay in full in the Flotr app, and meet the group at the pickup point on Friday night. You travel overnight, spend the weekend there, and get back early on Monday.

Are there women-only trips from Delhi?

Yes, when an agency runs one it shows here with a Women only tag. On women-only trips a mixed group can’t book, and you can see how many women are going before you pay.

Can I go on a trip from Delhi alone?

Yes. Most people on group trips come solo. Every trip shows how many people are going, how many are solo and how many are women, so you know who you’ll travel with.

Can I book a trip with my friends?

Yes. Book together and each friend pays their own share, so nobody has to collect money from everyone else.

What if the agency cancels the trip?

Every rupee goes back to how you paid. Not a voucher, not a wallet. If you cancel, you get exactly the refund you were shown when you booked.
